Off the coast of Didim, four irregular migrants attempting to cross abroad illegally were pushed back into Turkish territorial waters by Greek elements and left to die. The Turkish Coast Guard intervened in time and rescued the migrants.

According to the information received, a report was made about a group of irregular migrants in a life raft off the coast of Didim. In response, the Coast Guard Command dispatched the KB-4 Coast Guard Boat to the area.
Arriving at the scene shortly after, the teams detected the life raft that had been pushed back into Turkish waters by Greek elements. The four irregular migrants drifting at sea were safely rescued by the Coast Guard teams.

After being brought ashore, the migrants received first aid and basic assistance from the Coast Guard personnel. It was learned that the migrants were of foreign nationality. Following the completion of official procedures, they will be handed over to the Aydın Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.
