Event in Support of Street Animals from Animal Lovers in Didim
Approximately 100 people who met in a cafe in Altinkum, came together to support the stray animals in the Didim Municipality Street Animal Shelter. Turkish animal lovers, as well as British, Scottish, and Irish animal lovers, participated in the event. Five foreign volunteers who didn't mind the cold weather entered the sea to collect donations.

Lyn Dulledge (69), a British citizen who has lived in Didim for 20 years, stated that the event was organized to increase the visibility of street animals and meet their needs. Dulledge said, "At first the sea was very cold, but then we get used to it. We will continue to do our best for the animals."

Another animal-loving British citizen who participated in the event, Elizabeth Calılkin, stated that they not only entered the sea, but also used the income obtained from the fair they organized for the benefit of street animals.
